Sepia Mood

Sepia Mood
As I’ve been busy in lab I didn’t get time to go out and shoot. So here is something from the past. This was taken in Bruges, Belgium. It is not a very good picture as the highlights are blown and the framing is not perfect. But what I like about this picture is the period mood sepia brings to it.

Up

Up
Another one from Brussels, in a church near the Royal Museum whose name I’ve now forgotten. This was me trying to shamelessly imitate a photo which was taken in similar style and was present in the church’s brochure. I shall leave you to pass judgement!

The Cyclist

The Cyclist
Shot while I was sitting outside a coffee shop in The Hague, Holland, waiting for my friends to finish their coffee. A completely random and off-the-cuff shot, was surprised that it came out halfway decent in the end.

Love

Love
I fell in love with this sculpture the moment I saw it. A beautiful emotion conveyed in a simple and elegant way. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the artist. This was on display at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, Brussels.

Tranquil

Tranquil
Another one of my favorite images. A sense of peace and calm pervades this I feel. The place is the beautifully well preserved Belgian town of Bruges. Fell in love with its narrow and winding cobbled streets, evoking the medeival age like no other European town I’ve visited. The procession in the night, through those very streets on Easter eve with the townsfolk carrying huge candles was particularly memorable.
