Untitled 07
Lets take a break from Vienna for a little while! Instead, here is something I found in my garden the other day. Don’t know what the flower is called though. Anyone knows?

Another one from my garden.
Another one from my scraggly little garden.
I did not expect the scraggly and overgrown garden in front of my house to have anything worth photographing. But I was pleasantly surprised when on Sunday I tried out my newly acquired tripod in it. There were quite a lot of very small but beautiful flowers worth photographing. This is one of them. But for the very strong wind which made it next to impossible to do macro work I’d have got many more. I’m not very happy with this but didn’t get time to process any of the other ‘better’ photos so am putting this one up instead.
I didn’t get sufficient time to process another photo from my visit to Konigswinter so here is something from a while back instead. This is the third one in my on and off series on flora in the grip of winter’s sleep and waiting for spring to arrive.
Although I went out of Cologne today to a nearby town on a photographic trip, I couldn’t decide on a photo to post from that trip. So here is something old instead. I hope you can guess why I named the photo thus! I’m quite happy with the way this photo has turned out. Initially, I had thought of posting this in color but the monochrome version which resulted after PP won hands down in the end!
I’m not completely satisfied with the PP on this. Some essential thing is missing. But I don’t feel like working with it for too long so I post the photo as it is now. Hope you will like it better.
Although I wish both the stems were in focus I still like the way this photo has come out. I find it to be quite surreal.
So we return again to the photos from my walk along the Rhine last week. I don’t know what tree this is but they seem to waiting for spring to bloom again.
Thanks for the nice comments yesterday, much appreciated. This is one of the few macro shots from the shoot along the Rhine. Again, I played around a bit with PP on this. Used selective color and contrast to make the leaf stand out better against what is a slightly cluttered background.
