After a gap of two days here I’m again! Since the weather here continues to be downright shitty I tried a few macro studies the other day. Here is one I liked.

awsome ..had been seeing few of the recent wrks, i must admit you have some talent of seeing things u capture in pre/post effect forms..
I like it but I’m not sure what I’m looking at. Can you tell me what it is? I did not see any title or anything about what it is. Also I guess that massive orange background is due to the 13 sec exp.. Nifty shot!
thanks guys…and Scott, well I was feeling lazy to type out what it is and wanted to leave something to your imagination so did not describe anything. I don’t know exactly what it is but I’m guessing that it is some kind of moss/lichen. It was growing on a piece of rock. The orange thing was deliberate actually not a result of the long exposure. It is a cap of a fruit juice pack! I wanted it in the frame for a nice contrast with the rough surface of the moss/lichen.
well done not letting the bad weather keep you from getting some images. i have been having the same struggles over the last week! I thought at first this was a beehive and the yellow therefore works well for it. I also have very little sense of scale on this image…it is hard to know how large this was and i was surprised to hear that the yellow is only the size of a cap.
