Three Times
I saw
You at 3 am
In a distant dream
Pensive and withdrawn
Collecting marbles
Of desire
From the mantelpiece
And arranging them
On the coffee-table
To form my name
—–
At 10 am
I heard your voice
Whispering in my ear
I smiled
And cupped your sounds
In my fist
And jiggled them
To gel with
The sound of my love
And then
Hung them in the sky
To match
The colors of the rainbow
—–
At midnight
We exchanged
Dreams sleeping
In our eyes
A bond
Of trust
And inner fears
Rivulets of passion
Flowing through
Our thoughts
We slipped into
Liquid love
delicious words. especially liked “collecting marbles of desire” and “rivulets of passion” and most certainly “I smiled
And cupped your sounds
In my fist
And jiggled them
To gel with
The sound of my love
And then
Hung them in the sky
To match
The colors of the rainbow”
exceptional.
wish it were mine.
again such sweet poetry. you create such beautiful imagery with your words. very delicate, lovely 🙂
I liked the slipping into liquid love part, beautiful images.
You really have this remarkable fluidity with your words. It’s a trademark style. Especially, the last three lines flow so well. So powerful.
very very nice. I read through some of the poems here. I am in awe at some of them. Excellent.. They take one there.
Aloha.
those lines which c.j. quoted are, i agree, particularly stunning.
not only is your poetry impressive, but also the of wonderfully subtle sites and their contents—photos, web-design, wide-minded political perspectives, choice of fonts, etc.
you are amazingly talented in all the right ways. it’s no wonder your sweet angel loves you so.
the images form like crystal. that is your greatest ode to art, i think.
hey Anil, remember what i once commented about some lines u wrote on fullhyd? I still stick to them. My opinion will remain the same
the images you have created are so tender and complete, so precious.
this touched my heart in the deepest of ways…thanks!
bloody good !!!!
a warm welcome to all the new comers and a heartfelt thank you to all…*takes a bow*
I think I remember reading this on the earlier blog. Or is it just Deja Vu?
Pristine either way.
🙂
:A: as usual you are very perceptive! you are right…it was there on the earlier blog, albeit under a slightly different form and structure. and thank you…am glad you still like it…
If I was told to capture love I will have borrowed your soul
As your core holds meaning beyond my human comprehend
Amazing how you weave the words together.
Nasra: I bow at the honor you bestow on me…these shoulders of mine cannot bear the weight of such praise…words are not enough to thank you for saying something so beautiful…
yvaine: *smiles* thank you as always..I try…
